Barb Newitt, Brad Newitt, and Jeff Berndt are the AP Physics Teachers in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  They have led their own students to great success in their classrooms, and now they're ready to be your "online tutors" for AP or College Physics!  Their homework example videos make the often difficult subject of Physics easier to understand and are a valuable resource to any Physics student. 
 

~ Barb Newitt has been a Physics instructor at Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 1999.  She currently teaches Advanced Placement Physics© and Modern Physics (a conceptual course in Atomic, Nuclear, and Particle Physics.)  Mrs. Newitt was a 2007 recipient of the National Siemens Award for outstanding Advanced Placement teaching in Math and Science, which is awarded to 50 teachers nationally each year. 
   Ms. Newitt received a Bachelors of Science degree in Secondary Physics and Math Education from Kansas State University in 1997.  She also achieved a Masters of Education in Educational Technology from the University of Sioux Falls (Sioux Falls, SD) in 2006.  She and her husband Brad have two children and reside in Sioux Falls, SD.

~ Brad Newitt has been a Physics instructor at Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 2009.  He currently teaches Advanced Placement Physics©, Conceptual Physics, and Modern Physics (a conceptual course in Atomic, Nuclear, and Particle Physics.)  Prior to his employment as a high school teacher, Mr. Newitt worked as a collegiate Math Professor and Basketball Coach at the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD. 
   Mr. Newitt received a Bachelors of Science degree in Secondary Physics and Math Education from Kansas State University in 1996.  He also achieved a Masters of Education in Secondary Education Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Dakota in 1999.  He has been married to Barb since 1997 and they have two children.

~ Jeff Berndt has been a Physics instructor at Washington High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 1998.  He currently teaches Advanced Placement Physics© and Conceptual Physics.  Mr. Berndt was a 2008 recipient of the National Siemens Award for outstanding Advanced Placement teaching in Math and Science, which is awarded to 50 teachers nationally each year.  He was also a reader for the National Advanced Placement Physics© exam in 2009. 
   Mr. Berndt holds degrees in General Science (Physics emphasis) from the University of Rochester and Secondary Math Education from Augustana College (Sioux Falls, SD).  He also achieved a Masters of Education from the University of Sioux Falls (Sioux Falls, SD) in 2002.
